Kamil Woj is a contemporary visual artist based in New Forest , UK. Working primarily from direct observation whether out in the elements or facing a portrait subject. His practice is rooted in the physical, immediate act of painting.

His foundational skills in outdoor painting have earned him solid recognition across the UK, including First Prize at both the Wokingham Plein Air Art Competition (2026) and the Painswick Rococo Garden Competition (2026), alongside a wildcard appearance on Sky Arts.

Unwilling to be confined by polite, detailed realism, Kamil’s work has recently undergone a radical evolution. Today, his practice is driven by his own "Synthact" approach: a rigorous, alla prima method focused on  synthesis,  dynamic colour blocks, and extreme decision-making. He builds his compositions not through careful drawing, but through the vigorous collision of temperature, light, and impasto. For him, the subject matter is simply a framework for raw, uncompromised paint.
